The splendid batsman Babar Azam and the West Indian heavy hitter Chris Gayle are the new faces of the Karachi Kings team from pre-draft trades. The team has also proclaimed to take in Azhar Mahmood as coach whereas keeping Micky Arthur as the head coach of the team. Rashid Latif, the former captain has being entitled as the director the Karachi Kings. The team has also taken Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Sohail Khan, Ravi Bopara, Mohammad Amir, Saifullah Bangash and Shahzeb Hassan from the former season of the PSL for the next edition.
The most expensive team Karachi Kings started its talent hunt platform named as ‘Khiladi Ki Khoj’ for opening the countless opportunities for the cricket devotees to participate in Pakistan Super league 2017 as a foremost player. This initiative has only one core schema to bring out the encouraging new talent in cricket for PSL. The talent hunt initiated on 3rd of October in National Cricket Stadium of Karachi from which 350 candidates were shortlisted after the trials of thousands of confident applicants. From which six best players will be presented in PSL Emerging Players Draft. Total four teams will be made and each has fifteen players in it playing for the tournament. Among these 60 players, overall 15 will be nominated to mark the team of Karachi Kings.
