After Kolkata Knight Riders have denied the news about a suggested match between KKR and Peshawar zalmi, Javed Afridi owner of Peshawar Zalmi has gone back on his comments saying that it is all just speculations, he tweeted:

Earlier today news circulated in Pakistani media that Shah Rukh Khan congratulated Javed Afridi over his team’s win in the second season of PSL and suggested a three-match series between the two teams.
Express Tribune quoted Javed Afridi, who said; “Shah Rukh has asked me to talk to the Pakistani government and he will talk to the Indian government himself.”
Afridi also confirmed receiving congratulatory messages from Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Bollywood actors Sanjay Kapoor and Gulshan Grover. Thus his new stance that the news is just mere speculation is kind of worrisome as why give actual quotes on such news.
KKR took it to twitter to give their response about a budding match between their team and Peshawar Zalmi:
KKR won’t be playing any unauthorized games/leagues as some false reports are claiming.
No such communication happened from our end.

KKR has refuted the claim of Javed Afridi saying that no such communication took place from their end. KKR CEO Venky Mysore told India Today; “There is absolutely no truth in it. We categorically deny this.”
Mysore further added: I just had a word with Shah Rukh and he told me that he has been so busy shooting these days that he didn’t even know that any such league was happening in Pakistan or Dubai let alone calling any franchise owner and congratulating him on winning the tournament.”
What really transpired between the two teams, no one can tell but one can clearly see that as soon as KKR termed the news as rubbish, Javed Afridi came out calling the whole ordeal “speculation.”
