Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a new initiative known as the KPK Impact Challenge to that will equip the entrepreneurs in the province with the necessary ingredients to launch their own businesses and startups.
The KPK government has collaborated with LUMS to give 350 entrepreneurs a chance to become a part of the economic mainstream especially the rural youth of the province.
This initiative will promote entrepreneurship among the youth along with innovation and employment opportunities in the province. The ages of the candidates can vary between 18 to 30 years of age.
Asfandiyar Khattak, Youth Affairs Director while talking to Express Tribune revealed that the government has received over a thousand applications from across the province and 350 will be shortlisted and selected for the launching their business ideas. Around 2 million of maximum funds will be provided by the KPK government to projects in installments.
The selected candidates will be given a training initially at the Institue of Management Sciences in Peshawar which will be followed by the first installment for starting their business.
