Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in its effort to boost tourism in the province has launched the country’s first-ever mobile app and web portal called kptourism with the purpose of facilitating the international and national tourists during their trip to the Nothern lands of Pakistan.
The KP Senior Minister for Sports, Tourism, Archaeology, Culture, Museums, and Youth Affairs Atif Khan during the launch of the mobile app on Wednesday revealed that many such projects which will give a jump start to the tourism sector are in the pipeline.
He further revealed that the PTI government is taking steps to better the tourism sector and aims to attract 10 million foreign visitors in five years alongside producing $10 billion in revenue.
The Special Assistant Zulfi Bukhari also attended the launch ceremony and called the kptourism mobile app a big step towards the promotion of tourism in also Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The mobile application will not just act as a guide but will also contain all the data related to different tourist spots including different lush green valleys, mountains, deserts, rivers, roads, petrol pumps, cultural heritage and archaeological sites, springs, waterfalls, streams, Buddhism ruins, etc.
The kptourism app is available for both Android and iOS users and can be downloaded from their respective app stores.
