What to do after Matriculation?
After passing the matriculation, the students will indeed head towards their further studies. So, the first step is to identify what subjects you like and what field you want to join for your career. There are three primary lines to go: intermediate in science, intermediate in arts, and diplomas.
Intermediate in Science
For many students passing their matric exams, the most fanaticized field is FSC. The further options in this field are FSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering. Those who like chemistry, physics, and Biology, and want to make their career in the medical would choose FSC Pre-Medical. If you want to be an engineer (chemical, electrical, mechanical, etc.) you need to go for FSC. Pre-Engineering.
Intermediate in Arts
The major courses that are added in this field are Intermediate in Commerce (I.Com), Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS), General Science and Humanities.
You can even make the choice of the diploma of Associate Engineering – a 3-year course interlinked with the categories of industrial projects and laboratory experiments. Furthermore, there are DAE diplomas in the civil technology, chemical technology, mechanical technology, biomedical technology, petroleum technology and electrical technology. There is also the option of professional courses including CAT and ACCA.
This is the time when you are going to make one of the biggest decisions of your life. You must be clear about what you want to do, and what you can do in future. It would be better if you seek suggestions from your elders or career counselors. Once you choose the subject for your intermediate and the field for your career, you can apply for admission.
