Despite the fact that the Japanese brand Lexus has most of their cars now hybrids, the company has a good excuse to keep in its range some products that still comply with an internal combustion engine without electrical support. We are talking about new Lexus RC F 2020 and its track edition.
The new Lexus RC F coupe and RC F Track edition has got some visual changes, many technical improvements, and still on a V8 engine with about 500 horsepower.
The company has reduced the weight and improved the set-up with multiple reinforcements of the chassis. Newly built components also ensure that Lexus RC F has more compact air conditioning.
Under the hood we still found an atmospheric V8 engine, 5 liters, of those that roar with rage but with a soundless cabin, delivering a 479 HP.
For those looking for an even more radical sports car, the Lexus RC F Track Edition will also be available, in which two aspects stand out: aerodynamic improvement and carbon fiber to reduce weight. So the most striking thing about the Lexus RC F Track Edition is its huge, fixed carbon fiber spoiler. According to the company, new Lexus RC F saves between 70 and 80 kilograms compared to the old RC F.
Lexus ensures that they have achieved an extra downforce. Lexus RC F also incorporates 19 “BBS wheels – with a design inspired by the RC F GT3 racing – and Brembo carbocerámicos brakes.
The RC F Track Edition will be available in two color options; Ultra White and Matte Nebula Gray. Lexus is today unveiling the covers from RC F coupe and RC F Track Edition at Detroit auto show, where the Toyota is also relaunching its legendary Supra sports car.
