LG V30 to ditch Second Screen; Set to launch on 31st August

The next device in the LG V series is coming at the end of this month and before we mark our calendars for the big reveal on 31st August, let’s review some of the features the LG V30 is rumored to offer:

Double Screen

The company is reportedly ditching its second screen feature that included a unique small display above the regular screen that allowed the users to quickly access various notifications and shortcuts.

According to Android Authority, LG will instead introduce “floating bar” in LG V 30. It is not yet confirmed what purpose this new feature would serve but its name and design suggests that it will provide quick access to various shortcuts and mobile notifications.

HDR Display

The new smartphone would also provide HDR 10 support for the users making them a part of more immersive video watching experience.

Water and Dust Resistance

With LG V30, the users wouldn’t have to worry about dropping their phone in the water or using it in the rain as it would be water and dust resistant.

Other Features

Various other features of the smartphone would include a 6.0-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display flaunting rounded corners. LG V30 is also said to feature a f/1.6 aperture for the first time ever coupled with a Crystal Clear Glass Lens and improved transmittance.
