After launching the much anticipated Xiaomi Mi 8 this year, the company is gearing up for the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. After much rumors and leaks, we finally got to see the phone when the company’s CEO posted its picture on Weibo.
Unsurprisingly, the new flagship of Xiaomi has got a lot of similarities with the recently launched OPPO Find X in terms of design. Just like the Find X and the Vivo Nex, Mi Mix 3 features an all screen design on the front and leaves no room for the camera.
Since the phone doesn’t feature a notch or a chin, this means that the front facing camera, the sensors and the earpiece are moved to a new place. Yup! you guessed it right; in a pop-up module.

However, this design may seem like the Find X but it’s altogether different. In OPPO’s phone, a pop-up module is sandwiched in the body of the phone while in Mi Mix 3 the whole back of the phone slides up and down and unlike the Find X, the mechanism here is not motorized, but manual. So think of it as a modern-day slider phone just like the Nokia N95.
Though no specs have been revealed according to the company CEO, Mi Mix 3 will be launched in October. Company’s Global Spokesperson Donovan Sung also confirmed on Twitter that the phone will launch in October.
As for the specs, since it is a 2018 flagship, we expect the phone to be fully equipped with all the essentials of a modern day device. Mi Mix 3 is anticipated to come with Snapdragon 845, an ample 8GB RAM and massive 256 GB memory. Of course, the phone will come with different memory variants as all the phones do.
