Microsoft introduces Nokia 216 feature phone

Microsoft has introduced just another Nokia mobile phone, which will likely to be the last handset under this brand. The company has introduced Nokia 216, a feature phone that is capable of not only browsing the web but also powered by a massive 1020mAh battery, offering the standby for one month. You can talk continuously for up to 18 hours without recharging the battery.

The new Nokia 216 is worth $37 (around 4,000 PKR) and comes with the dual-SIM option. The display of this feature phone is 2.4-inch QVGA with sharp colors and great interface. Moreover, you can also add a MicroSD card to save your pictures, songs, files etc.

Not only this, but there are also two cameras in this feature phone. According to Microsoft, this kind of feature phones is still in use in many developing countries specially Pakistan and India.

It is important to mention that Microsoft purchased Nokia and Lumia brands in 2014 and got the rights of the plants of Nokia, its patents, and brands for ten years. Microsoft removed the name of “Nokia” from Lumia smartphones and branded them as Windows Phones. However, after the failure of Windows Phones, it has sold this business to FIH Mobile.
