PTI government under the leadership of PM Imran Khan is all ready to propose a finance bill having amendments to Budget 2018-2019.
According to the reports, the prices of mobile phones, electronics are going to be increased as more taxes and duties are being planned for them.
The national assembly session to present the mini-budget 2018-2019 is postponed due to the funeral of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, now the bill will be tabled on Tuesday as per the statement of Finance Minister Asad Umar.
The whole purpose of this mini-budget is to align the economic policies with the newly instated government’s approach by cutting the federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), modifying the prevailing expenses and introducing new taxation patterns to restrain budget deficit.
Earlier its was PMLN who proposed the Finance Budget 2018-19, they had also imposed several duties and taxes on the mobile phones. Now, PTI is going to follow the same as to cut the budget deficit they will be placing new burdens on the smartphones ultimately increasing the prices of these gadgets.
Some gadgets are necessarily used by each and every segment of the society from students to professionals and from housewives to roadside vendors. The government has to understand that the budget deficits are not meant to be tackled by this approach.
Next week, mini-budget 2018-2019 will land in parliament, and if approved, it’s going to be implemented in the whole country.
