Apparently, we have a recent update to the rumors circulating about two new flagships to be released by Nokia. These phones are said to be a major upgrade from the three midrange phones HMD has already announced. According to sources these two phones, namely the Nokia 7 and 8, are in the test phase at the HMD HQ.
Both these will sport a metal unibody and small frames on the sides of the screen than the Nokia 3, 5 and 6. The phones will include Qualcomm’s midrange Snapdragon 660 chip and feature fingerprint sensors and the fast charging ability. Camera sensors will be upgraded too.
The main difference between the two might fall in the display category with the Nokia 8 rumored to come with quad HD display and the Nokia 7 with a 1080p display and the screen sizes may also differ although this is not confirmed yet.
The rumors we heard earlier suggested that the Nokia’s flagships will challenge the Galaxy S8 with the inclusion of the latest Snapdragon 835 and a huge 6GB RAM which is pointless according to some. The latest news means these Nokia phone might not live up to the expectations but we will have to wait and see how true or false these updates are.
What is confirmed is that Nokia will be releasing 7-8 phones this year in addition to some it has released earlier. It seems HMD is trying to target every price range with such a big chunk of phones coming our way.
Although a release date has not been specified by HMD, it is expected that some of these phones will be available for purchase in the market come the second quarter of 2017.
