After much speculation and wait, finally, we have the official release date of the upcoming Nokia 8. The flagship smartphone by HMD Global, the Chinese company which exclusively holds the license to manufacture Nokia phones, will be unveiled on 16th August.
The company has started sending out invites to an event in London which will happen next month. Previously, many rumors suggested that the company will release the smartphone by the end of July, but we’ll now have to wait a little bit more.
The Nokia 8 is rumored to feature a 5.3-inch screen along with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, Android Nougat, and dual-SIM models.
This will also be the first Android powered Nokia smartphone that will feature a Carl Zeiss optics. It is also said to involve 13 megapixels dual camera.
Last week, the company accidentally revealed Nokia 8 on its website that looked exactly like the render that has been making rounds in the media for quite some time.
The flagship smartphone s rumored to carry the price tag of €589 which when converted to PKR becomes approximately Rs. 71,042. The company will reportedly introduce Nokia 8 in blue, silver and copper gold colors.
Tha launch event will take place at in London 7:30 PM local time on August 16th.
