Although many mid-range Nokia phones from HMD Global like Nokia 5.1 Plus have adopted “notchy” design in 2018, we still don’t see this trend in flagships from the company. Well, this might change on August 21 as HMD Global is likely to announce its latest Flagship, Nokia 9.
The company posted a tweet along with the picture, which provided a silhouette of a phone with the text “get ready to unveil the most awaited phone.” The tweet made it clear that an event was going to be held to announce a phone.
We can safely assume that this could be the Nokia 9. The last flagship from HMD Global, Nokia 8 Sirocco, disappointingly came with an older processor, so it is high time for the Finnish smartphone maker to launch an upgraded flagship that includes all the necessary hardware and software essentials to compete with today’s flagships.
While we are on the matter, there is also a reason to believe that the phone to be announced on August 21, might not be the Nokia 9. Only because flagships from any manufacturer get extensively leaked before their launch and we haven’t come across any leaks about the Nokia 9 over the recent past days.
As far as the specs are concerned, it will be a 2018 flagship and we will definitely not want it to come short in any regard. We are expecting the Nokia 9 to feature all of the goodies that we have already seen in 2018 flagships.
Nokia 9 is speculated to host the Snapdragon 845 along with a minimum of 6GB RAM. It may have a 5.7-inch curved screen, glass body with water resistance, dual-lens cameras on both the front and back and a 3,800mAh battery.
