Oppo has added yet another smartphone to its arsenal, the Oppo A79. This phone comes with a 6-inch screen that has an 18:9 OLED display which provides a staggering resolution of 2180×1080 pixels.
As smartphone companies are going towards making their phones bezel-less, Oppo has also clearly made a good effort to significantly reduce the top and bottom bezels in an effort to give this smartphone a high screen-to-body ratio.
Oppo A79 features a 2.5GHz octa-core processor that is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has an internal storage capacity of 64GB that can be expanded up to 256GB with a MicroSD card.
The handset can charge very quickly thanks to VOOC charge support that make sure that the 3,000mAh battery does not take too much time to charge
Finally, Oppo A79 comes with a pair of 16MP front and rear cameras which isn’t really a surprise at all if you are aware of the company’s motto of providing high-end selfies for its customers.
Although, both the cameras are of 16MP the main difference is in the aperture as the front camera has F/1.8 while the rear one has a F/2.0 with a fingerprint scanner located below it.
Oppo A79 runs on Android OS 7.1.1 Nougat and will be officially available in China from December 1st and will have a price tag of CNY2,399 ($360).
The company launched Oppo A57 in Pakistan earlier this year, however, It’s is unclear whether A79 will launch in the country as well or any other global markets as it can potentially harm the sales of Oppo F5 because apart from the display both phones are pretty similar to one another.
