The Chinese manufacturer has finally taken the wraps off the much-awaited addition to their Selfie Expert series, OPPO F9. However, we had a pretty good idea about the design and specs of the phone thanks to unstoppable leaks that kept flooding before the launch.
Selfie camera has always been the selling pitch of their smartphones but this time its the rear camera that received a huge upgrade in the OPPO F9. The device sports dual camera setup on its rear, in contrast with its predecessor, OPPO F7 which had a single back camera setup.
OPPO F9 also has a revamped notch size making it much smaller and keeping it from being more annoying. The company calls it a waterdrop notch design and has furnished the OPPO R17 with such a notch.
Another notable feature in the new offering from OPPO is that the phone hosts a micro USB charging port to juice up the 3500mAh battery but even then, it is capable of company’s super-fast VOOC charging which has already been time tested and has proven its worth.
The phone can acquire 2 hours of talk time and 11% battery with just 5 mins of charging session
OPPO F9 comes in two colors with beautiful gradient, Sunrise Red and Twilight blue. The phone’s back panel exhibits different colors with light hitting on it from different angles. The petal-shaped pattern on the phone’s back also offers a unique look.
The phone comes in two variants in terms of memory. A 64GB version packed with either a 4GB RAM or a 6GB RAM. However, the lack of an upgrade in the chipset is equally disappointing as the Oppo F9 hosts the same chipset as its predecessor.
The 4GB/64GB version of the phone is priced at Rs. 39,999 while the higher version with 6GB/64GB will be available for Rs. 44,999.

After that, product manager Awais Khan borrowed the stage to explain the functions and design of the phone and we must say that we are impressed. He explained the phone’s specs and features in a very convincing and delivering way.
Mr. George Long, CEO OPPO Pakistan, finally came to the stage to present the phone followed by some fancy firework. He thanked the audience in his speech and thus the event came to an end with an energy-packed music performance by a renowned singer, Asim Azhar.
The event was attended by people from all walks of life including media personnel, popular celebrities as well as retailers and distributors. A fashion show was also organized by the company on the launch event which featured the collection of fashion designer Ali Zeeshan.
