Amazingly, most of the innovation in the smartphone industry can be seen coming from Chinese manufacturers. Be it design or performance, companies like Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and many others, all are pushing their limits further. The most recent development came from Oppo which is going to launch its Hyper Boost Technology soon.
This tech is the Oppo’s version of what we have earlier seen in Huawei and Honor phones as the GPU Turbo technology aimed to boost the GPU functionality. The launch event for the Hyper Boost technology is scheduled for October 11 in Shanghai. Invites for the event have been sent out to Chinese media.
The poster about the launch that surfaced online contains “Towards an era of acceleration” written on it, which implies it is concerned with phones performance.
However, it is still unclear whether the tech is software-based acceleration having an impact on GPU or it includes the CPU too. Nevertheless, we expect Hyper Boost will increase the performance of supported OPPO devices.
While the Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology is limited to the phones with Kirin chipsets, it would get very interesting and competitive if Oppo makes this tech available for phones with both Qualcomm and MediaTek chipsets.
Oppo has already introduced its Super VOOC, latest fast charging technology that charges the phone from empty to full in just 35 minutes, making it the best fast charge technology in the industry. It comes in Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition.
