Oppo R17 is the successor to the Chinese company’s R15 which was launched earlier this year. The R series from Oppo falls somewhere between a midrange and flagship series. The phone has been receiving pretty substantial leaks as of now. The latest one includes a leaked picture of the phone.
The revealed image has shown the design of the phone from the front as well as the back. The phone sports a look similar to the Oppo Find X in design language with the company’s signature Bordeaux Red color.
Looking closely upon the picture, it can be fairly guessed that the phone has a glass back. A dual camera setup runs in the spine of the phone with the company’s branding just below the camera.
Just like most of the phones, the camera module in the R17 has a significant bump. A more interesting thing that caught our attention is the absence of a fingerprint sensor on both front and back sides of the phone. This clearly signifies that the Oppo R17 may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The front of the phone has got some interesting design changes as compared to the generic design language prevailing currently in the market. Although the phone has a notch in its display, unlike any other notched smartphone, Oppo R17 has a waterdrop inspired notch.
With minimum bezels and a very small-sized notch, the device’s look definitely seeks attention. Oppo has been making radical design changes in their smartphones lately. Oppo Find X with its slider camera is the flag-bearer of the company’s innovation. Hopefully, the coming handsets from the Chinese manufacturer will also try to break the monotony in design.
