It’s Pakistan Day today and the whole country is celebrating the 77th anniversary of the pledge and foundation that led to the creation of this great nation.
Renewing our pledge to take our country to new heights of development and getting rid of terrorism, the day starts off with the most anticipated Pakistan Day Parade.
The celebration started last night when Lahoris gathered outside the Greater Park Lahore to witness an epic show of fireworks.

The day started off with 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals and then came the biggest highlight of the day, Pakistan Day Parade.
The Parade is still underway, where Pakistanis are stuck on their couches witnessing the military parade. This day might be a common one for the rest of the world, but for Pakistanis, it commemorates the day when Lahore Resolution was passed on 23rd March 1940.
77 years ago today people knew that they need a separate nation and suddenly it wasn’t a dream anymore but a goal and a vision that was a reality after mere seven years.
The Pakistan Day parade is underway at Parade Ground near Shakarparian hills in Islamabad where President Mamnoon Hussain presides as the chief guest of the event.
Among others, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif are witnessing the military parade where Chinese and Saudi troops and a Turkish military band are also participating.
