Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) plans to develop an air safari to promote tourism in the country. PTDC will build a helipad at Rawal Lake viewpoint for the air safari, giving the tourist aerial view of the city.

While talking to Associate Press of Pakistan (APP), PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor Khan revealed that he is hopeful about tourists coming to Pakistan and sees the country among top tourist destinations in the world.

To further promote tourism, PTDC plans to participate in international tourism and travel exhibitions. It is also considering to collaborate with provincial organizations, airlines, hoteliers and tour operators at these exhibitions.

Through such initiatives, PTDC aims to create awareness about the beautiful places for tourists in Pakistan and at the same time increase the number of tourists coming to the country. Mr. Ghafoor said: “To increase the number of rooms in existing PTDC motels, we have contacted manufacturers of prefabricated structures and soon new rooms will be added to Naran, Ayubia, and other prominent motels.”

PTDC recently to asked for Thailand’s help to revive our tourism industry. Mr. Abdul Ghafoor recommended the officials of King Power, Thailand’s renowned investment group to invest in Pakistan’s tourism sector.

Pakistan has suffered a lot in this sector due to terrorism, where tourists were scared to come to Pakistan. With the improvements in the security condition of Pakistan, which brought foreign players for PSL Final in Lahore, we can sure hope to see more people visiting our country in future.
