As we reported earlier, the Traffic Police is introducing a mobile application for drivers named “Rasta” which will bring the majority of the manual operations from e-challan to payment system online.

Through this app, potential drivers can enter their data to create learners permit for themselves. They will only have to leave their home for the driving test, which they have to undertake after the provided time. The driving license will be delivered to their homes.

This mobile application is currently in the testing phase and will reportedly be available to people by end of this month. Also, it is speculated that the e-challan system will also go live along with the app.

The Safe City Authority has placed ANPR cameras in various parts of Lahore which will catch the traffic law violators electronically and will send a challan receipt directly to their homes.
