The government of Punjab in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has launched the judicial e-stamp papers across Punjab for property transfers and other such cases.
Now, with this modern and transparent computerized system, the non-judicial stamp papers worth PKR 1000 or more and the judicial stamp papers of any price can be acquired in fifteen minutes instead of three days.
How e-stamp system works?
The 32-A challan form can be filled on the e-stamping website of Punjab government. Take out the print copy of that form and visit any of the branches of BoP in your district. After submitting the stamp duty, you will immediately get the e-stamp paper. Don’t forget to verify each e-stamp paper by sending an SMS to 8100. You can also call the helpline at 0800-08100 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How to verify e-stamp via SMS?
Type estamp<space><16-digit e-stamp number> in an SMS and send it to 8100. For example, estamp 0E2331FD243D6B0A
The chairperson PITB Umar Saif said, “Now a common citizen can not only get the e-stamp paper from any of the branches of BoP, which are spread across the province, but this modern system has also given an option to the citizens to verify the value of an e-stamp paper by sending the number mentioned in the paper to 8100 from their mobile phone. In this way, the property valuation scams will be controlled.”
