Plan9 and Moroccan join hands

Plan9, one of the country’s leading startup incubators has joined hands with the Moroccan Centre for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (CISE) to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem of both Pakistan and Morocco. This will fuel the growth of startups in Pakistan and will open new horizons for our local Entrepreneurs. There will be multiple exchange programs taking place for the benefit of entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Dr. Umar Saif, Chairman PITB and founder Plan9 strongly supported the collaboration and said: “Such initiatives are highly appreciated as they not only encourage the startups to outperform themselves and make their mark in the world but also strengthen the faith of investors in Pakistani entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

Since its beginning, the incubator has raised over 118 startups. Plan9 is a venture of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and was launched in August 2012 to give budding entrepreneurs the chance to convert their business dreams into a reality by means of the modern technology as the important element.

Today, after four years, Plan9 has advanced into more than just a technology incubator. It is now a complete eco-system for technical innovation and entrepreneurship besides the ranks of the Silicon Valley, with influence all over Pakistan.
