Samsung launched its flagship phones Galaxy S8 and S8+ in the Unpacked event that took place in New York on 29th March.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ have seen many changes from the Galaxy S7 with inclusions such as a revolutionary design and a new AI assistant Bixby. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are available for pre-order in Pakistan until 27th April and will be delivered to customers on April 28.
Samsung is said to be giving a surprise cash money voucher worth PKR 6000 with every pre-order of Galaxy S8 or S8+.According to sources, not every distributor is providing this cash voucher as one of the retailers is offering the voucher while another is not. This means only a limited number of the customers will be able to get the voucher and the money will be deducted from the total price.
The smartphone company gave away a free Gear VR with every Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge when pre-order commenced last year although a high percentage of customers reported they did not get the promised prizes. Samsung will have to ensure that the consumers get the prize or voucher that is reported to be included in the pre-order deal.
The latest flagships are available, in a limited number, at retail outlets. Customers will have to fill out a form and provide a CNIC copy with PKR 10,000 to book their order whereas the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are priced at PKR 87,000 and PKR 97,000 respectively.
Samsung Pakistan has also notified its customer that the phones are available to pre-order while online shopping sites such as homeshopping.pk, well.pk, yayvo.com and telemart.pk have listed the new Samsung flagships on their sites offering a 6000PKR discount voucher.
According to reports, the S8 and S8+ have broken pre-order records in South Korea with over 550,000 bookings in just 2 days. The pre-ordering in India and Saudia Arabia had already started a few days ago while the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available for purchase starting on April 21 in America and Canada.
