Ever since an electronic ban has been imposed on the US bound flights from eight Muslim countries, the Gulf airlines have started to let their creative side free. Qatar Airways has now come up with an innovative solution, free laptop service.
Qatar Airways is offering free laptops to its customers in Business Class (on loan of course) so that their work isn’t affected. The Doha-based carrier in an official statement said that it will start a laptop loan service for its business class customers starting next week on all flights affected by the US ban.
Qatar Airways Group’s CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said in a statement. said: “By providing this laptop loan service we can ensure that our passengers on flights to the US can continue to work whilst onboard.” They can also access complimentary Wi-Fi, thanks to the airline’s management.
They can also access complimentary Wi-Fi, thanks to the airline’s management. The downside, this offer doesn’t count the economy class passengers and the Wi-Fi for all passengers would last for an hour.
Though all the airlines are complying with the ban, they have found ways to work around it as well. The same loaner service was initiated by Etihad Airlines last week where they will free iPads to First & Business Class guests and free Wi-Fin to customers starting April 2nd.

Last week Emirates also announced a new service enabling the users to keep their laptops with them right up to the time they board on the aircraft.
The problems for Gulf airlines started earlier this month when the US announced electronics ban where airline passengers from eight Muslim countries cannot bring electronic devices on board.
