iPhone 7 Plus explosion

A Reddit user who goes with the username kroopthesnoop, has posted some images of a burnt smartphone and claims that it is an iPhone 7 Plus and it exploded while on its way from Apple. The pictures are now viral on the social media.

According to the user, one of his co-workers booked an iPhone 7 Plus and the smartphone seems to have exploded while on its way from Apple. The images show a black smartphone and its packaging, both badly burnt.

It seems like the issue is not related to the battery of this smartphone. “Something happened between the factory and delivery,” the Reddit user indicated. It is possible that the device got some kind of fault while it was being delivered. Apple has not officially commented on the case and it is too early to tell what exactly happened to this device.

It was speculated that it might be the issue with the charger that comes with the Note 7, and the customers might have been charging the devices with the third-party chargers.
