Months after the launch of Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones, Samsung is finally rolling out its much-awaited AI assistant Bixby.
On Tuesday, the company launched voice capabilities for Bixby in the United States where users can avail this feature by updating their device’s software.
Just to refresh your memory, Bixby is the delayed Samsung’s AI powered digital voice assistant which also has a dedicated button in Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones.
Initially, at the launch of the company’s flagship smartphones, the digital assistance only performed three functions; Vision, Home, and Reminder.
Samsung previously explained that they need additional time to further ready it for mainstream consumers. In its access preview program, the company tested out its AI assistant with over 100,000 Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users which has enabled it to better understand different commands.
Bixby, unlike Apple’s Siri, will primary help to control Samsung’s smartphones instead of just finding answers to the various questions on the Internet. It will also interact with third-party apps to further to provide a better experience to the users.
Till now, the company hasn’t revealed when the service will be available in other countries but as we reported earlier, the company plans to introduce its voice assistant for Pakistani users as well.
