While some Chinese brands were busy introducing innovative technologies like GPU Turbo and advanced AI, Samsung was relying on old technology even for its most expensive phone, Galaxy Note 9. But now, Samsung has decided to change that by introducing the world’s first phone with Quadruple rear cameras, Galaxy A9 2018.
The phone was accidentally listed on Samsung’s official website. Though the page was removed shortly after, it couldn’t escape the eagle eyes of techies.
Renowned leaker Evan Blass also shared a photo on his twitter handler which showed the quad rear cameras along with their configuration. The cameras are aligned vertically on the top left corner on the back of the phone.

The first camera is an 8MP f/2.4 120° ultra-wide angle sensor. A 10MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom rests on second place. Below that we have a 24MP f/1.7 camera. All of these are followed by a 5MP f/2.2 depth camera. The phone is expected to sport an 8MP selfie camera along with facial recognition features.
The phone can also be seen with a square fingerprint scanner with rounded edges on the back. As per reports, the Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 will come with a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED display panel and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone is also speculated to have 128GB of onboard storage that could be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB) and will draw its power from a massive 3720mAh battery.
