Well informed Even Blass suggests that Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be launched in August 2016. More specifically, it can be August 15, soon after our independence day. Interestingly, Both iPhone and Samsung have matched their flagship phones with the last digit of the year.
The Galaxy Note smartphones have been considered the first commercially successful examples of “phablets”—a class of smartphone with large screens that are intended to straddle the functionality of a traditional tablet with that of a phone.
Samsung Electronics launched its first phablet with the name of Galaxy Note in 2011. Since then, every new year is bringing a new note with it, this year the 6th one.
On the contrary, Apple Launched its iPhone 1S on 29 June 2007 i.e. 8 years ago. So, in that way, Apple should be launching iPhone 10S by now.
But on the production side, Apple has been slower compared to its competitor Samsung which has not only taken a lot of market share from Apple but also surpassed the iPhone regarding design and specifications.
Why Apple left behind?
It is because of that Apple took too long to change the design of its phone and tried to stick to its old square model. It is just last year that Apple launched its “Samsung Identical” model in 2015, i.e., iPhone 6S.
So on one side, Apple lost its modeling lead to Samsung by remaining slower in offering innovation to its customers in the time of comparative monopoly from 2007 to 2010, on the other side, it let its bored customers in that era to look for Samsung as nothing new came out of the Apple Stores then.
Now after losing a lot, Apple is still not at the same pace as Samsung. While Designers at Apple are still busy launching S and SE (Bigger and Smaller) versions, Samsung is ready to launch 5 flagship phones in 2017. These include Samsung Galaxy X, S8, and S8 Edge along with Note 7 and Note 7 edge. It has already launched 2 Flagships this year (Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge).
The other 2 including Samsung Galaxy Note 6 and Note 6 Edge are expected to be launched in mid-August this year. Hence giving Samsung a reasonable one month time to boost its sales before the arrival of iPhone 7S expected in September this year. Samsung has adopted this strategy because, in 2014, its Note 4 was beaten in stores as it launched identically with iPhone 6. So the “careful” Samsung is geared up and fuelled in for the Note 6 and Edge launch.
