Reports are coming in that Samsung will be announcing the arrival of a refurbished Galaxy Note 7 as reported earlier. The new Note device will be named Galaxy Note 7R with the ‘R’ denoting the refurbished nature of the smartphone.
The Note 7R is all set for a launch in June which is also when Nokia devices will be coming to Pakistan. The revised version of Samsung’s ill-fated last year’s flagship will be priced at around $620, $200 cheaper than its original price.
The new Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been released and while you might be wondering if there’s a place for a refurbished device with the new Galaxy Note 8 already in the works, Samsung believes the Note 7R will generate sales.
On the hand, it’s not like Samsung have a choice of releasing or not releasing the phone since it has to do something about the millions of devices it recalled after last year’s explosions.
The Galaxy Note 7R will come with a 3200mAh battery which 300mAh smaller than the one present in Galaxy Note 7.
According to a careful estimate, Samsung will be releasing the Note 7R in August or start of September, although there’s still no confirmation from Samsung about the release date and pricing.
