Last month, we reported a rumor that Samsung will launch its flagship Galaxy Note 8 in August and now two Korean publications have further confirmed the news.
According to The Bell, the smartphone giant will unveil their much-anticipated phablet on 23rd August whereas The Investor reports that a Samsung official confirmed the month but not the date.
Galaxy Note 8 is the successor of the burning and explosive Note 7 which has managed to still stay in the news. The company has managed to make a fine comeback after the mega failure last year with the glamorous launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus this year.
Note 8 is expected to have the same design cues as the flagship smartphones. It will reportedly feature 6.3 inches screen, 0.1 inches larger than its predecessor.
It is also said to include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bixby Ai Assistant, Dual-lens Camera, and S-Pen which will be capable of translation functions.
In the past, Samsung has preferred to launch its phablet in September at IFA trade show in Berlin but this time it is being speculated that the company plans to beat Apple to the punch.
Like other rumors, we should probably take this news with the grain off salt but it doesn’t change the fact that we cannot wait to see the Galaxy Note 8 in the flesh.
