The Information Technology (IT) system of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is not working properly. The system of daily routine work is interrupted due to the technical faults in the system. The company is failed to accept the applications for the new connections, submitted by the customers.
The reason is that the SNGPL is not able to gain access to the database of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The clients who are coming for submitting the applications are being forced to wait for hours. They say that the company officials are not responding appropriately regarding the repairing of the system.
When a person submits an application for the new connection, the company gets the details of that person from the database of NADRA. But, due to the fault in the IT system, SNGPL is failed to establish a connection with NADRA.
All SNGPL Lahore offices are facing the issue.
All the SNGPL offices in Lahore are facing this issue. The Lahore region has informed about the matter to the authorities at the Head Office, Kashmir Road. According to the officials, the company will start accepting the applications once the issue is solved.
SNGPL is the largest integrated gas company in the country, engaged in the business of transmission and distribution of natural gas. It is for the first time that this organization is facing such an issue in its computer systems.
