Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs

Sony is fulfilling its promise to bring Android Oreo for more devices by rolling out the new update for Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs smartphones.

Google launched Android Oreo in August 2017 with major improvements as compared to the previous operating system like Picture in Picture support for many applications, access to a new Autofill API, fingerprint gesture support, predictive capture functionality, an autofocus burst mode and many more additional functions.

On November 2017, Sony re-emerged in the Pakistani handset industry with the official launch of seven new smartphones including Xperia XZ. We are not yet sure whether the company will bring Xperia Xzs in the country as well. You can watch the highlights of the launch event by clicking here.

Xperia XZ and XZs will have a new build number 41.3.A.0.401 after the Android Oreo Update. Also, you would need a stable and steady internet connection to download as the update is 1.2GB in size.

You are also advised to back up your date data before installing this update in case anything goes wrong. The security patch released in November will also be a part of this update.

The company rolled out Android oreo update for Xperia XZ in October and will provide it in more smartphones in the near future.
