South Korea has decided to increase the job quota for Pakistanis. According to the new policy more work visas will be provided to the skilled Pakistanis which will further enhance the bilateral relations between both countries.

It is worth noting here that last year only 700 Pakistanis were given South Korean work visa. However, both countries have now decided to increase this number.

This recent development surfaces when Zulfi Bukhari, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, met South Korea’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Kwak Sung-Kyu.

“Previous governments never showed interest in the South Korean market which has much potential for Pakistanis,” said Bukhari. PTI government has decided to explore new countries in order to find more work opportunities for Pakistani workforce.

South Korea is an industrial giant and has vast opportunities for skilled Pakistanis in different fields from automobiles to sophisticated smart technologies. If more Pakistanis are allocated work visas, it will not only help Pakistanis generate foreign exchange but will also help us to get top quality work experience in different fields.

South Korea is already investing in Pakistan in different fields and now showed their interest to upgrade Pakistan Railways with their technology. South Korea’s two top automobile companies, Hyundai and Kia Motors have already signed deals with local companies in Pakistan and could present their cars somewhere in next year.

Although no mechanism has been announced yet, Pakistanis are sure to get more work visa opportunities this year. Stay tuned with More News for that.
