TCL Communication launches Alcatel 3x smartphone, feature phones and tablets in Pakistan

TCL and Alcatel are no new for the Pakistani audience. The former is a leading LED TV maker and seller while the latter has had its presence in the mobile phone industry before 2019 as well. This time, TCL communication has introduced Alcatel smartphones including Alcatel 3x, a range of feature phones and tablets to cater to the demand of different price groups.

Below is the range of Alcatel phones and tablets that have been introduced in the local market.

Alcatel 3x

The prominent among them is the flagship smartphone Alcatel 3x that comes for PKR 30,000. The phone is the latest offering from the company that offers a 6.52 inches display of 720 x 1600 resolution IPS screen that boasts a screen to body ratio of 82.1%.

Andriod 9.0 and Mediatek’s Helio P23 octa-core chipset run the show, though there is no mention of Alcatel’s customized OS layer on top of it.

In Pakistan, Alcatel 3x lands with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone houses a triple camera setup on the rear side that comprises of 16MP + 8MP and 5MP lenses. Whereas, on the front side, there is an 8MP selfie camera.

The device comes in three colors, Jewellery Black, Jewellery Green, and Jewellery Blue and to power the phone, there is a 4000 mAh battery inside and a 10W charger.

A 4GB/64GB variant will join the league later.

Alcatel 3T 10 (4G)

This 10 inches tablet was globally introduced in February 2019 but it is part of Alcatel’s offering in the local market. It provides an 800 x 1280 px resolution on an IPS screen. Behind the display, Andriod pie keeps things running with the help of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is no mention of chipset though which is strange.

This 4G enabled device comes for PKR 31,999 while it gets the power from a 4080 mAh battery. 

There is a single 2MP camera on the backside and a similar lens on the front side for selfies and video calls. 

Alcatel 3T 10 comes with optional accessories as well that include a Bluetooth speaker for enhancing the multimedia experience, keyboard, and Pen. You can also attach the mouse with it for using it as your workstation to an extent.

2*5W external dock speakers can also be connected through AUX cable and it can house microSD card of 32GB in case you want to play something right away. It comes with a 2000 mAh battery.

The feature phone category includes three handsets including a classic flip phone, Alcatel 2053. It has a 2.4inch QVGA screen, 1.3MP camera, 4MB RAM and 4MB ROM and a 970mAh battery for PKR 3,499. 

Other models include Alcatel 1066 for PKR 1,899 and Alcatel 2003 for PKR 2,799

TCL communication has partnered with Airlink Communication Ltd for selling the tablets whereas, for feature phones and smartphones it has appointed DG Comm, a QMobile’s subsidiary as a distributor in Pakistan.
