Teamup, an incubation and acceleration platform working with young entrepreneurs and startups, has entered into an agreement with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Pakistan to promote and foster entrepreneurship in Pakistan and help in the development of an entrepreneurial eco system in the country.

The agreement commits both the entities to collaborate and map out future activities to further strengthen the entrepreneurial eco system of Pakistan. The agreement will open up opportunities for both the entities and startups in terms of knowledge sharing, innovative services and exchange programs to funding instruments and talent pools in line with startup development phases.

The signing of the MOU was formally announced after a signing ceremony between the two parties which took place at the National Incubation Center (NIC), Islamabad on Friday, August 25th, 2017. Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) was represented by Mr. Kashif M. Khan, President, while Teamup was represented by Mr.Parvez Abbasi, Project Director.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Parvez Abbasi commented: “We are delighted to partner with the Global Entrepreneurship Network and believe that this partnership will further strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan.”

NIC was formally initiated in February this year to provide better facilities to the startups and budding entrepreneurs. NIC is a technology hub launched under the unique public-private partnership of Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MOITT), National ICT R&D Fund, Jazz, and Teamup.
