Pakistanis can soon see a Diesel variant of Toyota Fortuner in the streets as the company is reportedly gearing up to launch it in the country.
Toyota Fortuner is available in Petrol variant where Indus Motors started its assembly in Pakistan back in 2013. With the growing demand of locally manufactured SUV’s, the company is expected to launch a diesel variant for the consumers, PakWheels reports.
The diesel variant of Fortuner is currently present in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Philipines and South Africa.
Recently, Honda BR-V which is a midsize SUV was launched in Pakistan. With the growing trend of 4X4 and looming entrance of international brands, it yet to be seen how the existing brands would try and maintain their stronghold in the industry.
The current version of the Toyota Fortuner in Pakistan offers 2TR – FE petrol engine along wit the 6-Speed-sequential transmission and is priced at Rs. 5,249,000.
