UC Browser joins hands with Qmobile in Pakistan to provide faster and easier to access internet experience to their users. A product of Alibaba’s Mobile Business Group, UC Browser has been growing rapidly in Pakistan and has 25 percent share among the mobile browsers used in the country.
Revolving around this partnership, UC Browser recently signed Shahid Afridi as their brand ambassador for the second season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The campaign focuses on the passion of Pakistani citizens when it comes to cricket.
UC Browser last year joined hands with Twitter, and Microsoft Bing launched UC Cricket, a mobile gateway to all things cricket, and through Shahid Afridi, they strengthen their role as unifying people through the sport of cricket. They also endorsed their browser earlier this year through an action packed TVC starring Mehwish Hayat.
Robert Bu, GM Global Traffic, and Promotion, UCWeb, Alibaba Mobile Business Group, stated:
“The all-round strategic partnership also revolves co-marketing campaigns benefiting mobile internet users. We believe this collaborative effort has a potential to contribute to the development of mobile internet usage in Pakistan.”
Pakistan is a country where 70 percent of web traffic is generated by mobile phones owners, which means that most of the people use their smartphones to connect to the cyberspace making it an attractive country to invest in mobile browsing capabilities.
