The wait is over. United Motors Pvt Ltd has just launched their most anticipated and profoundly awaited 800cc hatchback United Bravo in a modest event here in Lahore.
The company postponed its launching date several times but it appears this happened for good as the car keeps up the expectations as far as the features and price is concerned.
Competing with the likes of Suzuki Mehran, the only locally assembled 800cc car in Pakistan, United Bravo steps up the game by providing features of an expensive and luxurious segment car.
The car brags and swags power steering, infotainment in-dash touchscreen, reverse view camera with sensors while also providing stylish instrumental cluster, power windows, inside fuel lid opener and a remote key.
Bravo is available in Grey, white and Silver color options. It has an EFI engine which is Euro II compliant while also includes a maintenance-free dry battery.
United Bravo has also got alloy wheels, high mounted stop light, air conditioner, shark fin antenna, USB charger for your gadgets and an aux cable jack.
From multi-reflector headlamps to fog lights it comes with all the utilities most consumers ask from the existing cars.
For now, the hatchback is available in manual transmission but the company is determined to bring an auto version soon. The company ensures the aftersale 3S dealerships to provide you with maintenance, repair, and readily available spare parts. They are also going to setup customer relationship departments at dealerships for feedback.
The car is priced at Rs. 850,000 slightly higher then what we had expected but still it’s quite reasonable keeping in mind the features it presents now.
Highlights of the Event
The launch event was attended by the company’s official and other famous dealers. The chief guest was Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed, Provincial Minister of Punjab for excise, taxation and narcotics control while the other notable guests included Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, chief-editor of Daily Pakistan and Shahid Qadir, Director CM complaint cell Punjab.
Speaking at the occasion, Sana Ullah Chaudhary, CEO United Motors said that the company has been holding the number 1 status in motorcycle manufacturing having 23 to 27 percent growth rate since last 4 years. He added that they aim to localize the whole car here and vowed that they will also pioneer in bringing first ever electric car of Pakistan in an affordable price range.
Zia Ullah Chaudhry, Director Marketing United Motors said that the company produces more than 4 lacs bikes yearly, the same energy will be transferred to other vehicle segments especially the cars. He said their focus was not only to provide a robust design but also a quality car.
Mr. Asim Ayaz, GM Engineering development board(EDB), said that the dynamics have changed now with the new auto policy. He congratulated United Motors and its team and hoped that better and variety of vehicles surfaces in the country.
Chairman Lahore chamber of commerce, Malik Tahir Javaid said that steps like these will create employment as per the vision of PM Imran Khan.
Delegations from Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) and Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association(PAMA) were also there among others from different sections of society.
