Vivo just had its first interaction with Pakistani media for officially introducing itself following a 3 months selling experience in Pakistan which they are claiming to be very encouraging.
Currently, they are selling V5s, Y69, Y55s, and Y53 but soon their latest V7 and V7+ device are going to hit the stores locally, a company official hinted at the meetup.
“Next month we are going to bring our bigger phones in Pakistan, and a mega launch event will also be held. Currently, the vibes look very encouraging, and Vivo is ready to expand wings here”, confirmed Zouhair Chohan, Manager PR & Digital Marketing.
In V7+, Vivo has brought considerable design change from the predecessor, and the newbie is coming with a design that is not inspired by iPhone and additionally comes with a whopping 24MP selfie camera. The expected price of the phone wasn’t communicated, but we believe it would hover around PKR 35,000 to 40,000 since the launch price in India is INR. 21,990.
Apart from the under the screen fingerprint scanning technology that Vivo is boasting to have pioneered and will be available in its upcoming flagships, their few models also house a dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip for delivering a real sound experience other than taking good photos and unlocking the phones in quickest (0.2 sec) way possible so far.
Chinese seems to be taking the lead in unlocking mechanism as we have also witnessed this quick unlock claim from QMobile for its Noir A1 which proved right in this particular area during our tests.
For creating an early impact, Vivo is also providing 15 days replacement warranty on its handsets other than the usual year long warranty.
To a question, Vivo official told that for now, they would be selling their phones on a model that Oppo has adopted in Pakistan but at a later stage, they will surely consider working with leading distributors.
We are pretty hopeful that they will soon entice a decent audience here in Pakistan provided they don’t compromise on after sales service and pricing of their products.
