Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand is finally bringing its mid-range smartphones V7 and V7+ in Pakistan on 4th October 2017.
We previously reported that the company after testing the waters is ready to jump right into the Pakistani handset industry. It doesn’t seem like Vivo will go for a quiet spectacle rather the company is coming with a big marketing budget which will be spent on brand recognition, advertising etc.
The Chinese smartphone giant is already selling four handsets in the country namely V5s, Y69, Y55s, and Y53 and also they have hinted to bring more of its smartphones in Pakistan in the coming months; something worth looking forward to if you’re looking to buy a new device in the coming future.
Vivo has recently moved into a four-story building located in the downtown Lahore. The procurement of an office sends a message that unlike Oppo, TECNO and many other Chinese brands that have made an entrance into the Pakistani market, Vivo plans to stay.
TECNO and Oppo have yet to succeed in making an image for themselves as a major player in the smartphone brand war but it seems like Vivo may succeed where many have failed as it wants to become a major corporation in the country, a source at the company stated.
However, we have to wait and see how Vivo will captivate the hearts of its audience as Oppo also had a considerable marketing budget. Moreover, the company has yet to get the response from the market when its mid-range devices will compete with the rest of the brands head on.
Currently, Vivo is following the distribution model of Oppo but down the road, it may opt to choose a nationwide distributor, the company previously revealed while talking to the media.
