Samsung and WAK Group to manufacture home appliances

Samsung Pakistan has laid the foundation stone for the assembly plant of home appliances in the Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE). In collaboration with WAKTech, Samsung will manufacture the home appliances there. WAKTech is the consumer electronics wing of WAK Group of Companies.

According to the details, a leading business corporation WAK Limited’s subsidiary, WakTech has collaborated with Samsung Electronics to lay the foundation stone in the Sundar Industrial Estate for manufacturing the home appliances.

WAKTech and Samsung will jointly manufacture a wide range of home appliances with advanced technology. These home appliances will include refrigerators, Cooking Appliances, Washing Machines, Air Conditioners, Vacuum Cleaners and more.

This collaboration of Samsung and WAK Group will provide employment opportunity to the people as well as the advancement in the home appliances technology.

Back in August, LG, in association with its local distributor, Momin Group established an assembly plant in the Sundar Industrial Estate.

The demand for the home appliances is rising in the country and with the advancement in the technology, most of the people mostly purchase the smart electronics. Instead of purchasing a traditional washing machine, the consumer prefers automatic washing machine. Similarly, instead of buying a traditional old-style AC, he goes for an AC with the DC Inverter technology.

Although the demand for consumer electronics items is proportionally rising in the country with the population, however, the strong roots of Chinese and smuggled products make the market favorable for the vendors who like to play with the price element.
