Qualcomm, the international wireless telecommunications products and service provider, announced its newest chipset Snapdragon 835 back in November 2016.
Qualcomm’s latest chip will replace Snapdragon 821 and is expected to be included in several phones releasing this year. The Snapdragon 835 is the most powerful chip yet and lets you multitask like never before.
The chip can efficiently scan multiple objects and has a better voice recognition rate which is a testament to the chip’s incredible speed and power. Moreover, the eye sensing technology is more secure and does not let one login with dummy eyes and pictures.
The improved Iris Biometric technology hinders masks, pictures or other people from logging and the infrared capability can scan eyes even with the sunglasses on.
A certain date of release cannot be provided because the introduction of a new chip really depends on the release of smartphones housing it, however, it can be said with some surety that it would hit the markets in the first half of 2017.
LG’s flagship LG G6 failed the race in getting an earlier shipment of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, Forbes reported and since will be including the chip from the LG V30 onwards which will be released later on this year. The non-inclusion of the latest chip in LG G6 has sparked a debate about whether LG G6 or the LG V30 will be considered as the flagship phone for 2017.
Other major features of the Snapdragon 835 include a 27% higher performance and Quick Charge feature which will be able to decrease charging times by 20%.
