WhatsApp now lets you quote any of the received or sent messages while typing a new message. Meaning, you can instantly mention any of the previous messages in a new text. This option is available on the latest version of the app.
The Facebook-owned instant messenger recently rolled out this new function, and it is now officially available to all the users who are using the most recent version of the app. The feature was previously available in the beta version only.
How to quote a message using WhatsApp?
To quote a message inside the conversation, long-press any text, a menu will appear on the top, with the icon of the star, trash, copy, forward, info, and a new icon i.e. an arrow facing the backward direction. Tap this new kind of symbol. The selected message will appear in your reply box.
The quote option is available both in the group chats and one-on-one chats.
