Xiaomi has taken the wraps off its two newest models in an event in Spain. The event was much talked about and as expected, the launched phones are Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 lite. Just like their predecessor, both the phone are Android One devices and come with Android Oreo out of the box.
Interestingly, Xiaomi has added the lite version in the line up as the original Mi A1 did not have the version. Let’s find out more about the phones.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specs
It can clearly be spotted that the device is actually the international version of the Mi 6X that was previously released in China. Xiaomi Mi A2 holds the same design and specifications but runs on stock Android while the 6X ran MIUI skin on top of Android.
As for specifications, the phone shows off a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset. The Mi A2 is available with 32/64/128 GB storage variants along with 4GB/6GB of RAM.
As for the optics, the phone is equipped with a dual camera setup at its rear with a combination of 20MP + 12MP cameras with AI scene recognition. Both the lenses have a f/1.75 aperture. For selfie lovers, there is a 20MP camera on the front with a soft light LED flash and AI scene detection that can recognize 12 different self-portrait scenes.
The phone draws its juice from a 3000mAh battery and also comes with QuickCharge 3.0 support. Xiaomi Mi A2 also sports the fingerprint scanner on its back and comes with the face unlock feature.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Specs
As the name suggests, it is the cut-down version of the Mi A2. In line with its name, the phone sports a smaller 5.84-inch display with FullHD+ resolution and 19:9 display with a notch at the top.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and will be available in two different storage and RAM variant which include 32GB with 3GB RAM and 64GB with 4GB RAM.
The phone comes with a dual rear camera with 12MP+5MP lens and on the front, it hosts a 5 MP camera for snapping selfies. Just beneath the rear cameras, in the spine of the phone lies the fingerprint scanner.
Although much of the specs have been cut down from the original version, the highlight of the Xiaomi Mi A2 lite remains the 4000mAh massive battery.
