Xiaomi has announced a product launch event on 10th August, and just ahead of the launch we managed to spot the flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 on Xiaomi Pakistan’s official website along with three other phones- Mi A2, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A.
Although the listed phones were removed shortly after they were listed, they had a “coming soon” logo along with the pictures, which strengthens the speculations that Xiaomi is going to launch all of these phones in Pakistan on the said date.
Xiaomi Mi 8
Xiaomi Mi 8 is the latest flagship from the Chinese giant and was launched in China earlier in May. It comes with 6.21-inch FHD+, AMOLED display with a notch and 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 88.5% screen-to-body ratio as the company claims.
The device features an AI-powered dual rear camera with 12MP + 12MP sensors and has 4-Axis OIS while on the front we find a 20MP shooter with F/2.0 aperture and comes with infrared face unlock.
The internals of Xiaomi Mi 8, include a Snapdragon 845 while the listed version contains a 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage and a 3400 mAh battery to juice it all up.
Mi A2 and A2 Lite
Besides the Xiaomi Mi 8, the company’s recently launched midranger Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite are also listed on the official website.
Mi A2 hosts a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset. The Mi A2 is available with 32/64 GB storage variants along with 4GB of RAM.
Mi A2 Lite is the cut-down version of Mi A2 and is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and will be available in two different storage and RAM variants which include 32GB with 3GB of RAM and 64GB with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with a dual rear camera with 12MP+5MP lens, and on the front, it hosts a 5 MP camera for snapping selfies.
Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A
Redmi 6 comes as an upgrade to the Redmi 5 and hosts a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 80.7% screen to body ratio. Internally, it comes with MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 and offers two storage variants. A 32GB version paired with 3GB RAM and a 64GB variant with 4GB RAM.
The phone comes with a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
Redmi 6A was launched alongside the Redmi 6 in China and is a pruned version of the phone. It comes with features such as an 18:9 display and the latest Helio A22 chipset. It sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display, with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory.
According to the listings on Xiaomi Pakistan official website, there are a total of five phones to be launched on August 10, but undoubtedly the star of the show is going to be the Xiaomi Mi 8 as the phone has also caused ripples in the international market with its recent launch.
