When it comes to mid-range phones with flagship killer specs, Xiaomi can’t be left out of the discussion, as the brand has produced some pretty seriously equipped phones with an amazing price tag like the Xiaomi Mi 8 whose younger sibling, Mi 8 Youth is all set to launch on September 19 in Chengdu, China.
A teaser was posted on Xiaomi’s official page on Weibo, unveiling the launch date of the much-anticipated device. As per the renders and leaks, it will carry a horizontal dual camera on the rear side of the device.
The device has received many leaks including a whole spec sheet leak according to which Mi 8 Youth will come with Snapdragon 710 processor and different RAM variants including 4GB/ 6GB/ 8GB RAM. It will have a 6.26″ display, with a screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels, and 19:9 aspect ratio.
The leaks indicate the device coming with a notch like most of the devices launching this year. Further, it will host 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage and the user can expand it via a hybrid slot. Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will come with Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 overlay.
In the camera section, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth could come with a 24MP camera on the front side for selfies and dual 12MP sensors on the back with LED flash. The device will have a 3500mAh battery and will have support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The device has also been spotted in Infocomm Media Development Authority, a Singaporean certification agency, hinting at the global launch of the phone. As per some leaks, Mi 8 Youth could be priced around 1999 yuan (~$290).
