Xiaomi released its Mi Pad 2 in 2015 and has now released the Mi Pad 3 with almost the same design but improved specifications. Xiaomi’s next flagship Mi6 is also expected to arrive soon and has also set up a new manufacturing plant in India.
The pad has a 7.9 inches screen with a 2048 X 1536 impressive resolution. Xiaomi has included new options such as a black and white mode for better readability of e-books and an eye protection mode limiting the blue light emitting from the screen.
Housed inside is a Mediatek MT8176 chipset with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The internal storage is not expandable because the memory card slot is not available.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has a metal body which comes in a champagne gold color and 6600mAh battery. The camera is a 13-megapixel camera with an aperture not as great as that of the cameras on the new selfie expert OPPO F3 Plus.
The Mi Pad3 runs on Android Marshmallow and has an MIUI8 skin on top. The Xiaomi Mi Pad3 will be available for purchase from tomorrow at a price of $220.
With the arrival of Note 8 expected soon, the Mi Pad3 is a welcome edition for users who want phablets at a budget price.
