Yamaha is expected to launch its new motorbike, YBR-Z in the coming month.
According to PakWheels, the company will launch its new product in April 2017 which will feature a 125 cc engine, highly coveted flat seat and a much linear fuel tank.
Yamaha YBR-Z is said to compete with CG-125 as a motorbike for families, both in price and features. It will likely feature a self-start button with starter kick. Its expected price is Rs. 110,000.
Yamaha made a comeback in Pakistani market almost two years ago on 27th April 2015 and since then has introduced many variants of its products in the country including YBR and YBR-G.
The new factory, with a total floor area of 17,000 m2, was built on a 203,456 m2 piece of land in the Bin Qasim Industrial Park in Karachi and commenced operations with approximately 1,400 employees.
The Punjab government is also using the bikes by Yamaha for its new health care initiative, motorbike ambulance. The company plans to manufacture all the spare parts and engines in Pakistan by 2022.
Motorbikes in Pakistan are the primary source of transportation, where people tired of public transport prefers to buy one. Soon Pakistanis will also see a 70 cc automatic motorbike in Pakistan by Super Power, that will not require the rider to operate the clutch and gears.
