Google has launched a new YouTube application called YouTube Go that’s been designed for the users who don’t have access to the high-speed Internet. YouTube Go app is a new initiative by the company to make it easier for the users to watch YouTube videos even in the poor quality networks.

There are countries where advanced 3G and 4G-LTE services are not yet available, and they still use basic 2G services to use the web. Keeping this in view, Google has launched YouTube Go app.

YouTube Go app lets you save the videos so that you can watch them later. It also gives the option to select the quality of the video. You can easily share the videos with your friends or family members after saving the videos. According to the company, it is a modern app that assists the new generation of Internet users to watch and share the videos.

  • Find and discover relatable videos right on the home screen.
  • Preview videos before you save or watch.
  • Choose your resolution when saving or streaming videos.
  • Share videos with friends nearby.

The app is based on the YouTube Smart Offline feature, which was first launched in India. Smart Offline automatically downloads your favorite videos to your device overnight. YouTube Go app was launched at an event organized by Google in Delhi.

Earlier, YouTube launched an in-app messaging feature on its smartphone app so that people can talk about the latest videos without having to leave the app. The service is called YouTube messenger.
