The love for electric cars in Pakistan is in the air, thanks to heightened fuel prices and lots of pollution carbon fuel causes. Several famous car manufacturers have pledged to float their best electric cars in Pakistan – a few of them have already landed, and many are on the upcoming electric cars list.
They all promise less power consumption and a lower impact on the environment.
So here is a list of electric cars in Pakistan you definitely can consider and put it in your favorite list. They are all excellent vehicles, and you might find their unique features “very attractive.”
2022 BMW iX– One of the awesome electric cars in Pakistan
The BMW is here with its all-electric iX series that it announced back in 2018 and promised to deliver us the commercial units by 2022.
And they are well on track.
The BMW iX series comprises iX xDrive50, iX xDrive40, and iX3 M Sports – all getting booked by Dewan Motors in Pakistan.

A more expensive version, BMW iX M60, is yet to come, and we believe it carries far more features and a huge price tag.
xDrive 50 is a four-door all-wheel-drive vehicle that will offer 560hp and 600KM range in a single charge. It can reach 0 to 100km/hr in just 4.6 seconds.
Whereas xDrive 40 offers 326 hp, 400 km range and takes 6.1 seconds to reach from 0 to 100km/hr.
Both the models come with lots of bells and whistles such as two electric motors, 22-inch BMW aerodynamic wheels, 18 speakers, Harman Kardon surround sound system, Wifi hotspots, and 5G connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a lot more.
The company is also offering a complimentary charging station with the car, which they can install at your home or office. Besides, the company is in the process of installing charging stations in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.
The company says that the AC charging system can charge the 106.3 kWh battery in about 8 hours, whereas the vehicles can also be charged with DC fast charging in approximately 40 minutes.
All in all, the BMW fans can sense a blend of features from BMW X5, X6, and X7.
However, the cheapest variant, iX3, can give a 458 km range in a single charge and reaches 0-100 km/hr in 6.8 seconds.
Dewan Motors is booking all three electric cars in Pakistan with a delivery timeline not earlier than July 2022.
BMW i4
The company also gives us its Tesla model 3 rival, BMW i4, which can provide us with a range of 585 km in a single charge. The Gran Coupe’ can reach 100 km/hr in just 4 seconds without a drive slip, and it sports an 83.9kWh battery inside.
MG ZS EV
The number two in our list of electric cars in Pakistan is MG ZS EV. MG has created a lot of stirs since its launch. With the tagline “The ALL-Electric,” this SUV comes with a 150K km battery warranty or eight years, whichever comes first.
This electric vehicle features a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery that gives you a range of 320 kilometers in a single charge. It can provide 353Nm instant torque and 105kW of maximum power.
MG ZS EV can take 8.2seconds to reach 100 km/hr.
Besides, it offers, 8inch color touchscreen, six speakers, surround sound audio, Apple CarPlay/Google Auto integration, and a 17” alloy wheel.
The MG ZS EV comes with a price tag of PKR 6,250,000, excluding freight charges.
Wuling Mini EV
This mini electronic car is the talk of the town, and to date, the company has manufactured 25 million vehicles since its inception in 2002.
SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile is behind Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. It is a joint venture among three giants – sated owned SAIC Motors, American Multinational GM Motors, and Liuzhou Wuling Automobile Industry.
We simply call it SGMW.
Although SGMW makes sedans, crossovers, SUVs, minibusses, and multipurpose vehicles, Wuling Mini EV is the hot cake in China.
This small electric car was launched in China some 18 months ago, and in November 2021 only, they sold more than 40,000 units in homeland China out of 50,000 total EV units sold that include other models.
And, in 2021, from Jan till Nov, SGMW has sold 344,890 Wuling Mini EV cars showing an exponential demand and success rate of this small vehicle.
SGMW is now taking Wuling Mini EV to international markets, starting with Indonesia in 2022. The second destination could be Pakistan, where Javed Afridi, the representative of MG cars in Pakistan, has already hinted to introduce mini EV under the PKR 1 million price bracket.
Back in 2017 we also heard from Super Power to introduce the cheapest electric cars in Pakistan but they never came up with a commercial unit in Pakistan. We hope to see Wuling mini EV soon on our roads.
Wuling Mini EV specifications
The Mini EV comes with two battery options
9.3 kWh battery gives a range of 120 km whereas 13.9 kWh battery can cover 170 km in a single charge.
Having four seats, the car can go up to 100 km/hr speed. Its motor can produce a 20kW peak and 85Nm torque.
An upgraded version of the Wuling Mini EV comes with a 26kWh battery covering the 300 km range. Its motor also gives 30kW power.
We expect its arrival in 2022 in the budget price segment, where it can become a big hit in Pakistan.
